Proteges of Snoop Doggy Dogg, Long Beach-based duo Tha Dogg Pound teamed rappers Kurupt and Daz Dillinger; after contributing to soundtracks including Above the Rim and Murder Was the Case, they issued their triple platinum debut LP Dogg Food on Death Row Records in 1995.

Tha Dogg Pound represents Kurupt and Daz’s homies - the original 'dogg pound' that Snoop belongs to. The duo’s concept is to represent all that they and their homies stand for.
Six years on, they have recently released their follow up album 2002.
